I have no words to appropriately describe how I felt when I found out about Tuesday passing. My heart aches for her family and I know that in no way compares to how her family feels or the people who knew her personally. What a beautiful little girl.
I am so touched by her family and her story, I felt compelled to organize something in her honor. Unfortunately, it seems most of us have been touched by cancer or another illness in one way or another. I wanted to be able to do something tangible. I prayed about it, I thought about it, and as if God heard me I came across a beautiful blog. Tabitha is the Blog Author of A FiveohFour Uplifting. She, along with her family organize goody bags for patients in hospitals that are dedicated to healing and nurturing children with ALL major illnesses and ALL disabilities as well as children and women living in homeless shelters. They have also teamed up with Make A Child Smile's Monthly Featured Kids.
I contacted Tabitha and told her about Tuesday's story. All of the goody bags that her family is organizing for their Valentine's Day giveaway will be given in Tuesday's honor. I encourage everyone to log on to A FiveOhFour Uplifting and find out how to help Tabitha in her mission. I am also asking you to read about Make A Child Smile. They are a fabulous organization who simply ask for you to write uplifting and fun letters to chronically ill children. Sounds simple right? It is!
I would like for everyone to contribute in a way that they feel is most appropriate. On Valentine's Day I would love for all of us to share excerpts of the uplifting letters that we wrote or share photos of the goodies we donated to Tabitha's effort. Mr. Linky and I will be anxiously waiting to see what you come up with.
I think this will be a great way to touch someone in need and make their {heart happy} with a simple gesture. Please help me with this Happy Heart Project. I would love for this to be a monthly event for us all. How great would it be to know you helped someone in need smile today?
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Also, if you would like to visit Tabitha's personal blog you can do so here. The warmth in her words and her giving spirit are so inspiring.

What a wonderful tribute for Tuesday. I learned of her fight last week on SITS and I have been following her mommy's blog and praying for her. I will check out the sites you mentioned and see what I can do to help. It is so refreshing to witness so much love and support here in the blogosphere.
How heart wrenching. As we discussed, I will do what I can. I will put something together by morning and put your link up on my blog. Hugs to you my dear friend!!!!!!!
Hey - can't quite remember how I found you, but I love your spirit of giving. For Valentine's Day our family is making valentines for all the residents of the baptist home just down the block from us, maybe we can tie it in somehow? I'll need to think.
I'd heard Tuesday's heartwrenching story. I love the goody bag idea!
What a fabulous idea - I will definitely go check out Tabitha's scene. I also have been truly touched by the Whitt family and that darling Tuesday. Another blogger and I have teamed up to do another kind of tribute to Tuesday. If you have a moment stop by and check it out. Grab a button and spread the word.
Nice to meet you...
:-)
How lovely of both of you to do this for Tuesday.
Her family means the world to me and I know this will mean so much to them.
Thank you.
